What Is The Total UCAT Score?

Advice & Insight From UCAT Specialists

The UCAT total score is between 1200 and 3600 points for Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Reasoning and Abstract Reasoning. This is due to each section being awarded a score between 300 and 900. For example, if a candidate scores 700 in Verbal Reasoning, 660 in Decision Making, 820 in Quantitative Reasoning, and 680 in Abstract Reasoning, the total UCAT score would be 2860 (Average UCAT Score: 715). The Situational Judgement section uses ‘Bands’ rather than points. In this section, full marks are given for the most correct answer, and partial marks given to the second best answer. These raw scores are converted to 4 ‘Bands’, with Band 1 being the highest and Band 4 the lowest.
