University of Tennessee Dentistry Key Information

Applicants to the University of Tennessee’s program  must possess the following general qualities: critical thinking, sound judgment, emotional stability and maturity, empathy, physical and mental stamina. Likewise, they should possess the ability to acquire knowledge, surgical skills and technical functions and use such knowledge, skills, and functions in a wide variety of didactic, laboratory, and clinical settings.

Applicants granted an interview (based on GPA, PGPA, and DAT) are notified in writing, and will be interviewed only once.

Interviews take place at the school, and according to previous students there is some variety over whether they are closed-file or open-file. Expect group interviews rather than one-on-one interviews, typically.  

Interviews begin as soon as applications are received.
