Liverpool receives around 700 applicants per year, of whom 330 are interviewed. Of these interviewees, roughly 160 will then receive an offer. All students invited for interview will have at least AAA at A Level, unless they are applying through a widening access scheme.
When ranking applicants for interview, the UCAT is taken into account along with academic scores and personal statement, although there is no specific UCAT cut-off. Additionally, whilst there is no SJT cut-off per se, Liverpool states that it is unlikely that any student receiving band 4 for their SJT would be considered for interview.
Liverpool historically interviews using the MMI (Multiple Mini Interviews) format, and its interviews run from January until March. The MMI consists of ten stations over 70 minutes, with two rest stations.
