In order to pass the GP Stage 3 Selection Centre, applicants need to pass each of the four GP Stage 3 Mark Scheme Domains, as well as avoiding all critical fails.
Historically, an average of 92% of applicants will pass GP Stage 3, however not all of these doctors will be offered GP Registrar Training Jobs. GP Registrar Training Jobs are allocated based on a combination of GP Stage 2 and GP Stage 3 scores, with the highest scoring applicants being allocated jobs in their preferred locations.
Applicants passing GP Stage 3, however not securing a high enough score to obtain a job in their preferred location are placed on a waiting list. Should any candidates decide not to take up their GP Registrar Training Post, these positions are made available to highest scoring doctors on the waiting list.
