In arriving at GPST Entry applicant overall rankings, GP Stage 2 (MSRA) scores are added to GP Stage 3 (Selection Centre) scores to provide an overall score. The highest ranking applicants are offered jobs in their preferred deanery, with lower scoring applicants being allocated to remaining jobs.

The weighting for the two components of GP Stage 2 and the GP Stage 3 Selection Centre are as follows:

GP Stage 2 (SJT/Professional Dilemma Paper) = 40%
GP Stage 2 (Clinical Problem Solving Paper) = 20%
GP Stage 3 Selection Centre = 40%
